Hear The ‘The Hurt Locker Part 2’ Songs Now!

‘The Hurt Locker Part 2’ airs this Friday and the songs are here! How do these compare to the songs from Part 1? Well, I’d say it’s about the same for me. I really liked half of the songs last week and this week it’s about the same. But take a listen and decide for yourself! 😀

‘You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)’ (by Dead Or Alive) sung by The Warblers http://fyeahgleeclub.tumblr.com/post/109268903381/you-spin-me-round-like-a-record-glee-cast Fun fact: Kurt and Blaine were supposed to sing this in 3×05 ‘The First Time’ when they were in Scandals, but the scene was cut. So it’s interesting that the Warblers sing it now. They sing it pretty well, if you ask me. Not the Warblers’ ever best, but I like it better than the other song that the Warblers sing this episode.

‘It Must Have Been Love’ (by Roxette) sung by New Directions http://fyeahgleeclub.tumblr.com/post/109268154636/it-must-have-been-love-glee-cast-version This is cute. Not a standout and it’s clear that it will hardly compare to the likes of VA and the Warblers, but it’s alright. And I think that’s the point, anyway.

‘My Sharona’ (by The Knack) sung by The Warblers http://fyeahgleeclub.tumblr.com/post/109268397011/my-sharona-glee-cast-version Is Sharona a person? It’s an odd name. And I keep thinking of the Corona beer, pronounced almost the same…. I’m much of a not a fan of this. Dare I say that it’s one of the Warblers’ worst ever?

‘All Out Of Love’ (by Air Supply) sung by New Directions http://fyeahgleeclub.tumblr.com/post/109268251886/all-out-of-love-glee-cast-version This is cuter than ‘It Must Have Been Love’. And sung better. Best song ND sings in the episode. I actually can’t wait to see it. It’s one of those power songs where by the second half you just feel it in your soul, y’know? XD

‘Father Figure’ (by George Michael) sung by New Directions http://fyeahgleeclub.tumblr.com/post/109206014266/father-figure-glee-cast-version This is really interesting. Is this Roderick singing? I can’t actually tell for sure…? But it’s a style of song that is kind of new for Glee. Not comparable to anything. I like it.

This is an interesting bunch of songs. For the first time ever, we’ll see ND perform without the help of Rachel or any other old members, so that’ll be cool. And as much as I’m not as thrilled with the Warbler song choices, they’re sure to have some neat dance steps. My favourite song is ‘All Out Of Love’ with a close, catchy second being ‘Father Figure’. Only 4 days until 6×05!
