Meet The S6 Newbies (+ A New Promo)

I realized that I hadn’t introduced you all to the new characters that we’ll see in Season 6. I gave you a general overview of who’d they be, but I never showed you the faces that we’d come to see and hopefully love. In my defence, there was some doubt that the actors that claimed to be the newbies were legit, but it’s all sorted out now.

The reason I’m doing this now, aside from the fact that it’s about time, is that a new promo came out today. It wasn’t anything too shocking, though there were some new scenes. There was a quick glance at two newbies so I figured I should tell you who they are. So take a look at the promo:

So let’s discuss the newbies. There are five.

  • Marshall Williams plays Spencer, the gay jock. Marshall is from Canada (*deep voice* represeeeeent!) and has some small TV credits and a large role in a Disney Channel movie. He was also on Canadian Idol twice, but never won. He normally has a full head of blond hair, but for Spencer, it’s a buzz cut.

  • Billy Lewis Jr plays Mason, male Cheerio and twin of Madison. Billy did some theater (not on Broadway) and has three singles on iTunes, which you can hear here on his website. I’m listening to them now as I write, and they’re pretty good. It’s like indie pop/rock.
  • Laura Dreyfuss plays Madison, a Cheerio and twin sister to Mason. Laura did some small/understudy roles on Broadway in Once and Hair. Broadway means she has a good voice so I can’t wait to hear her sing!

  • Noah Guthrie plays Roderick, the shy kid with a good voice. The voice thing is true because he, like Billy, has his own music (though he has a lot more) and I’m also listening to that right now, and it’s really good. Noah has also toured around and opened for some notable names. His website is here and you can hear his tunes on his YouTube channel.

  • Samantha Marie Ware plays Jane, the female who wants to be a Warbler. Like Laura, she has some Broadway credits. She was in Book Of Mormon. I like her hair!

So those are the newbies. Here are two pics of them hanging out on set 🙂

Which new newbie seems to be your fave so far? I know that the newbies aren’t loved right away, but I’m always excited for new meat. I mean, look at Kitty: she wasn’t loved at all when she first came and now she is! We’ll grow to love these people too, hopefully. 😀

That’s all for now! Bye, Gleeks!

SEASON 6 PROMO!!!!

GUUUUUYS! Finally! New footage of the upcoming Season 6 has arrived and I’m so happy! This is the first promo in such a long time! 😀

A crappy quality video was released about an hour ago, but I waited until a good quality one surfaced before I shared it here. I was refreshing YouTube constantly until it came out! So here it is, take a look:

So for the new stuff: Kurt and Rachel telling Sue that they’re taking over Glee club. Then we have Rachel singing the Frozen hit ‘Let It Go’ wearing a super pretty dress. I love the song, so I’m excited. And who’s that with the Warblers? Why it’s Blaine again! Blaine Warbler is back!!!! The female there is probably not Jane, the new Warbler wanna-be because I think it’s Rachel; there’s a quick second where you see her and Blaine on a couch with the Warblers around them. Then we have scenes of Santana and Brittany and Sue and I am SO PUMPED!

The worse quality promo had a few more seconds at the start of cheery cute Glee flashbacks, so if you want to see them, here’s the vid.

2 hours of Glee will be awesome! 😀 😀 😀 I can’t wait until the songs come out! The last time new Glee songs came out, I was in a hotel in New York City and that was so long ago, so I’m really excited for new songs again!

So that’s the new S6 Glee promo. What do you think? Are you super psyched for the new and final season to start? It’s so soon (yet so far away!)

More New Glee Characters?

Apparently so, my Gleeks. The news came out today that Glee would be adding five new characters. That being said, I can’t confirm if that’s true or if all five will actually end up on the show. It is a bit early, I’d think, but only character descriptions were released, not any actors. So who are these new characters? Here’s what we got:

Jane – a female Warbler wannabe who is stuck being in ND because she obvs can’t join the Warblers.

Spencer – a gay football player but a stud, at that. He’s too cool and strong to be bullied for it though

Madison and Mason – twin (girl and boy) Cheerios who are super hyper and on the weirder side, apparently

Roderick – a shy chubby kid who has a really awesome voice

All in all, they don’t sound too bad. And they’re not copies of existing characters, which is good. So far, my only big worry is that they make the twins too weird. Like, I mean in the super uncomfortable weird way where it’s not even funny because you’re too busy being creeped out to laugh. However, we haven’t had direct siblings on the show like that, so it could be interesting. What I’d like to know is how Jane thinks she could be a Warbler when she can’t even attend Dalton?

So far, I’ve seen nothing but hate and disappointment in this news. And I guess that to some extent it’s understandable because we don’t really have time to fall in love with the new characters when we only have 13 episodes. But I guess that we need a Glee club so we have no choice. Like the old newbies, they’re needed. And besides, I think that the writers and show runners know that we love the originals and want to see them have big roles in the last season ever, so I’m keeping faith, as I hope you are too. And again, maybe these new characters won’t end up happening at all. It is early, after all.

So that’s all for now. I’ll keep y’all posted on any more news coming in. It’s good to write about spoiler and news again.

P.S. Keep voting for the Teen Choice Awards! Voting ends Sunday at 11:59 PST. Let’s get Glee a bunch of wins!

P.P.S. I finally saw McCanick, which was one of the two last movies Cory did before he died. I had seen All The Wrong Reasons on a plane in March and I just got a copy of McCanick a few days ago. Cory’s character in McCanick is so different from any roles he’s had before. He plays a shady criminal fresh out of jail, though we see flashbacks of him before he was in jail, when he was just a reckless criminal. It’s not a movie I’d watch normally, but Cory played the character pretty well, with the exception of the voice. He had his sweet Glee voice in the body of a crazy street kid. I was pretty happy to see Mike Vogel, who plays Barbie in Under The Dome in the movie too. Anyways, I wouldn’t recommend the movie unless you’re watching it for Cory. Otherwise, it was pretty weird and on the sadder side.
