Meet The New Glee Project Contestants!

Hiya! How’s life with out Glee working out for you? I’m holding up okay but then again, it’s only been 8 days. What’s worse, all my shows are over. Thank goodness for Ellen, which is on every day! LOL Another thing I’m happy about is The Glee Project Season 2. Last year’s Glee project was amazing and fun. I loved every episode because it was like Glee but different too. It was cool.

So this year, we get a fresh new group of contestants (see above picture). I loved last year’s group very much. Sure, I had my faves and even some people who is seriously disliked. TGP2’s first episode airs June 5th on Oxygen. Then again, if you live in stupid Canada like me, you’ll have to wait a bit to see it or watch it online (like I plan to do). Stupid Canada. I love you and all but we miss out on everything or have to wait a bajillion years to see something and that sucks -_-. There was also a special casting episode that was released a few days ago, but because Oxygen.com and Hululu-or-whatever-that-site-is won’t let me watch anything (because I’m in Canada) I haven’t seen it yet, but all it is really is Robert Ulrich (the casting director) and his crew picking out the contestants by watching many, many, many submission videos. They narrow it down to fourteen teens. This year’s group looks pretty entertaining and very spread out in terms of social groups (just like New Directions). So here is an interview for each contestant. 🙂

Abraham

Ali

Dani

Charlie

Blake

Mario

Maxfield

Shanna

Taryn

Lily

Michael

Aylin

Nellie

Tyler

So that’s all the contestants. They’re all quite diverse, which is good for Glee. Everyone’s gotta be different…. not that I have a problem with that because I like the fact that we can be who we are and special and all that, but it makes people who aren’t ‘special’ or ‘different’ seem useless or lame or not good enough for the spotlight. :S

Anyhoo, so some background information on the peeps: Mario is blind since age 9, Tyler is transgendered, Ali is in a wheelchair because she is paralyzed from the waist down and Dani was on America’s Got Talent but didn’t win.

Just judging by the interviews, my faves so far are: Lily (a lot of people agree with me here, but she reminds me of Hannah from Season 1. I loved Hannah and thought she should have won. She was nice, fun, a good singer, bubbly and unique. So hopefully Lily is just liked her), Ali (she seems so funny and hyper and happy) and Abraham (he seems funny and cool). Who are your faves and are you excited for the season????

Lastly, before I go, here is TGP2’s first music video advertising the season, to the tune of Lady Gaga. 🙂
